Allegato World: Music in Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, French, Italian, and English
Allegato Latin: Music in Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Italian or a focus on one country
Allegato Japanese: Music of Japan
Why, you ask? The cultural and linguistic differences between Japan and Latin-based cultures are so significant that they are almost mirror images of each other, perfect opposites in many ways, yet with underlying parallels. Lead singer Allison has had a love affair with both sides of the mirror for almost two decades, so it seemed only natural to fuse them together in an effort to bring more clarity to each side - not to mention the great musical combination they make! Japanese traditional music captures the purity of nature, the introspection and celebration of life, and the heart of a child. Mix this with the spicy Latin passion of romance, hardship, and beauty, and we find common ties for all of us.
Allegato – A world of meaning: A phonetic sister to “Arigato” in Japanese, the Italian expression that describes being ‘closely bound together’, the musical term describing smooth melodies, and a collision of Alli with her musical mascot, the Cat (or ‘Gato’ to our Latin friends). Put it together and what do you have? Allegato – Thank You! It is the gift of music that smoothens our differences and binds us.

Juan Manuel Morones - Singer-Composer
Juan Manuel Morones was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, was educated in Mexico City. As a child his family owned and operated nightclubs in Mexico where famous musicians and singers would perform. After some years passed he finally came out of his shell and found that many established singers and artists wanted to record his songs.
His CD "Mi Inspiracion" is a collection of some of his greatest songs plus some new ones he was inspired to write from his unfortunate experience with blindness. Yet he sings a positive message of the kindness, support and love he has recieved from friends and lovers of his talent, music and his soul.
Juan has a charismatic voice that emotes romance, love, passion and hope.

Kristi Rickert Peterson - Singer-Pianist-Composer
Kristi Rickert has been delighting San Diego audiences with her unique blend of standard jazz, pop and show tunes , performing in many of San Diego's finest piano rooms since moving here from the midwest 17 years ago. Her elegant and intimate vocal style and strong accompanying skills have twice earned her San Diego Magazine's Best Piano Bar Pianist award.
Having recently performed at La Valencia Hotel, Bertrand at Mr A's and the Westgate Hotel, Ms Rickert has returned to the quiet and elegant intimacy of the Top O' the Cove Restaurant, where she was a popular performer for six years in the 90's before leaving to write the score for a musical with her sister, Winnie Hiller, a playwright and performer well-known to the Los Angeles area.
Hailing from the Midwest, Ms Rickert grew up in a very musical family. Her father was an operatic singer with a doctorate in Vocal Education who had toured as a big band singer in his youth. Kristi was training her voice and her ear and singing in her father's choirs from the earliest age, listening to and loving the music of the great standard jazz composers: Gershwin, Ellington, Harold Arlen, Cole Porter, Rogers and Hart and many more. Her primary love, however, was never opera and classical music, and she joined her first rock band, playing bass guitar, at the tender age of 11. Kristi continued playing in dance bands through high school, and after graduation, decided to begin touring with her current band.
Touring all throughout the Midwest, Ms Rickert also performed for longer periods of time on Nantucket Island, in San Francisco, in New York City, and in Scottsdale Arizona, performing everything from Top 40 rock to country to jazz to Big Band music. Her education was grabbed whenever and wherever she landed for any length of time.
Recently Kristi has felt called to work once again in collaberation with other musicians; to be free to stand and focus completely on singing. When invited to record a live CD with piano virtuoso Joe Fos, she jumped at the chance. Rickert and Fos enlisted the aid of well known local bassist Bill Andrews, and rehearsals began for the "Live at Dark Thirty" album.
An avid vocal coach and dedicated church musician as well as performer, Kristi is Director of Music Ministry at Pacific Church of Religious Science. She continues to compose inspirational music, both alone and with her sister Winnie. Now that she has been bitten by the "recording bug", she is ready to begin work on a CD of original music.
